Official Bambu Lab build plates designed for reliable first-layer adhesion and clean print removal.
Choose the correct machine, surface, and format (plate or sheet) from the variants to match your printer and printing needs.
Each variant corresponds to a specific Bambu Lab plate and compatibility.
Which surface should I pick?
Bambu Lab printers come with the Textured PEI Plate as standard. Pick the size of your printer, then the surface for your filament and the look you want.
| Surface | Best for | Glue | Bottom of the print |
|---|---|---|---|
| Textured PEI | PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, nylon | Not needed. A thin layer helps PETG come off. | Textured, matte |
| Smooth PEI | PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, nylon | Needed for everything except PLA | Smooth and matte |
| Smooth and Textured PEI | Same as the two above, one on each side | As for the side you use | Flip it: smooth or textured |
| Cool Plate SuperTack (and SuperTack Pro) | PLA and PETG. Not for TPU or Bambu PLA Silk. | Not needed | Smooth |
| Engineering Plate | ABS, ASA, PC, nylon. Works with every Bambu Lab filament. | Always, a thin layer | Flat and smooth |
| High Temperature (sheet) | Same range as Smooth PEI. A replacement sheet for the High Temperature Plate. | Needed for everything except PLA | Smooth |
| Cool Plate | PLA only | Needed, even for PLA | Smooth |
| Starry, Galaxy, Diamond, Carbon Fiber | PLA and TPU. Best with silk or shiny filament. | Never | A pattern that changes color as the light moves |
For Starry, Galaxy, Diamond and Carbon Fiber, choose Smooth PEI/High Temp Plate in Bambu Studio. Let the plate cool, then flex it to release the print. Wash it with dish soap, warm water and a sponge, then dry it. Never use acetone.
