Bambu Lab R1 CO2 Laser Cutter and Engraver

The Bambu Lab R1 is a 55 W desktop CO2 laser cutter and engraver. It cuts and engraves wood, clear acrylic, leather and more on a 600 × 300 mm work area, at up to 1000 mm/s.

Highlights

• 55 W CO2 laser: cuts up to 18 mm walnut and 20 mm acrylic in a single pass (the thickest cuts use the long-focus lens, sold separately).
• 600 × 300 mm work area, or stock up to 3000 mm long with the Conveyor (sold separately).
• Up to 1000 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration, with even engraving tone at full speed.
• Auto laser alignment: cameras, lasers and XY encoders keep positioning accurate to within 0.2 mm.
• Toolhead camera to place designs on small objects and to cut along printed or drawn outlines.
• Recognizes Bambu Lab materials and applies the right power and speed, with no test grids.
• Class 1 laser safety, plus an emergency stop that cuts power to the machine immediately.
• About a third smaller footprint than a typical CO2 laser with the same work area.
