Bambu Lab H3C: What We Know Before the 3 November Reveal
Share
Bambu Lab has a new printer coming. On 23 October 2026 it announced the Bambu Lab H3C, a tool changer 3D printer, with the full reveal on Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 4:00 PM Beirut time (9:00 AM EST).
Here is what Bambu Lab has confirmed, what leaked before the announcement, and why a tool changer matters for multi-colour and multi-material printing.
What Bambu Lab Has Confirmed
- Nine tools in one printer: the teaser reads "Nine tools, built into one printer. A new tech to swap."
- A tool changer: Bambu Lab calls the H3C "a next-generation tool changer 3D printer that makes multi-material printing faster, more reliable, and effortless".
- The reveal: 3 November 2026 at 9:00 AM EST, which is 4:00 PM in Beirut.
What Leaked Before the Announcement
- Patents (August 2026): Chinese patents published on 14 August show a rack of nine tool docks plus one nozzle on the toolhead.
- Certification (September 2026): the H3C passed US FCC certification on 11 September, with Wi-Fi 6.
- A store banner (22 October): Bambu Lab's Australian store showed an H3C banner a day early, then took it down.
The price, the build volume, the nozzle technology and the release date are still unknown. Be careful with "leaked photos" of the full printer: the one shared in early October was flagged as AI-generated.
Why a Tool Changer Matters
With a single nozzle, every colour change means cutting the filament, purging the old colour and loading the new one. That takes time and turns filament into waste. A tool changer gives each material its own tool and swaps the whole tool instead, so a colour change is a quick swap with much less purging.
It also makes it easier to combine materials that do not share a nozzle well, like a rigid part with flexible TPU sections, or a model with soluble supports. How fast and how clean the H3C's swaps are is exactly what the 3 November reveal should show.
H3C or H2C?
The names are close, but they are different machines. The H2C is Bambu Lab's current H-series printer with the Vortek hotend change system: see our H2S vs H2D vs H2C guide. The H3C is the new nine-tool tool changer. And the S1 is not a printer at all: it is Bambu Lab's first 3D scanner, read what we know about the S1.
