ASA Aero is Bambu Lab's lightweight foaming ASA filament, combining UV and weather resistance with a low-density cellular structure. It produces parts that are significantly lighter than solid ASA while retaining good mechanical strength and excellent outdoor durability. Perfect for drone components, large-format outdoor signage, lightweight enclosures, and any application where reduced weight and weather resistance matter. Requires an enclosed printer for best results.

Printing Tips

  • Foaming ASA materials (ASA Aero) have strict requirements for filament drying and slicer settings. Carefully read the ASA Aero Printing Guide before starting.
  • Drying: 80°C for 8 hrs. ASA Aero is highly sensitive to humidity — further drying before use and after storage is strongly recommended. See Filament Drying Recommendations.
  • To minimise warping, avoid printing large high-infill-density models. Use an enclosed printer, apply build-plate glue for adhesion, lower the print speed, and raise the heatbed temperature. See Common print quality problems and solutions.
  • Pungent odors may be released during printing. Use an enclosed printer in a well-ventilated area.
