PLA Aero is Bambu Lab's lightweight foaming PLA, producing parts up to 40% lighter than standard PLA. The cellular internal structure reduces weight while maintaining adequate stiffness for large decorative prints, cosplay props, drone accessories, and any project where light weight is critical. Easy to print with standard PLA settings and AMS compatible.

Printing Tips

  • PLA Aero filament is relatively soft, which may cause loading and unloading failures during AMS printing. Lower the loading/unloading speed if you experience issues.
  • Drying: 55°C for 8 hrs. PLA Aero is highly sensitive to humidity — further drying before use and after storage is strongly recommended. See Filament Drying Recommendations.
